Kunsthalle platoon is part of the Cultural Development Center Platoon, which opened in 2000 in Berlin. Organization runs a diverse program of cultural and communication project with participants from all over the world.
The new center in Seoul was intended to help support and promote artistic and creative subculture movement. Programs and projects in the middle of the road to focus on art, graphic design, fashion, video art, programming, music, club culture, political activism, and many more.
Graft Lab Architects, which has offices in Los Angeles, Beijing and Berlin, has designed and built a lot of creative out-of-the-box structure. In their Kunsthalle Platoon has built a very attractive building out of the box shipping containers – 28 of them actually.
40-foot long recycling containers stacked on top of each other and arranged to create a dynamic space and interesting. With almost 3,000 square feet of space activities can occur in, all of which help promote the art movement that developed in the heart of Seoul.
