60 000 sq ft complex of prefabricated apartments to be completed this summer

This construction of 72 units, modules, currently under construction near Temple University in Philadelphia.
Designed by Interface Studio Architects, the project includes 60 000 square foot apartment living room with a green roof, parking for 38 cars and storage for 50 bicycles.
What is impressive is not just that would be a prefabricated house, green, contemporary building, but perhaps the largest modular building project LEED for Houses of the nation.

The module has been designed by the same company, Interface Studio Architects, who designed the 100K House, a LEED Platinum project has received media attention.
Maybe this new apartment project is also interesting to note that the 100k House (or more) because in the end, the unit will be the largest brick structure built in the same city.
Scheduled to expire at the end of summer 2010, the module is being developed by Carlisle Street Partners, LLC, Equinox Management & Construction, LLC as general contractor Homes and Excel as a modular manufacturer.
