With the high speed of development that has hit Shanghai in recent years, many industries previously compound on the outskirts of which is now located in strategic areas to improve reevaluation of the city.
History of industrial sites often developed a strong symbolic relationship with the communities and at the same time thanks to the morphological characteristic of this architecture is characterized by a rich environment with architecture that creates opportunities for useful functional renovation.
Located in the Xuhui district, the site of 12 780 square meters with 40,000 square meter building is the former headquarters of three firearms textile mills. After seeing the huge growth potential in the year 2006 the company was jointly established by the Government of Xuhui District, which Shangtex Holding Co. Ltd. and Jie Fang Daily News Paper Group specifically with the aim to transform this crop production creative center of fashion design, textiles, capable of promoting the potential China’s growing design and at the same time to be a focal point for the city capable of hosting multi-function concept of life, represented today by HighstreetLOFT history of success.
